HRC Abastar Plus Selenium High Volume Oral Drench for Sheep

For the treatment and control of abamectin sensitive strains of internal parasites of sheep (including benzimadazole, levamisole and morantel resistant strains), nasal bot and itch mite of sheep and as an aid in the control of selenium deficiency in sheep.

Abastar Plus Selenium contains abamectin, a member of the macrocyclic ‘ML’ family of drenches and also contains selenium which is an aid in control and treatment of selenium deficiency in sheep and lambs. Abastar Plus Selenium is effective against abamectin sensitive strains of the following adult and immature internal parasites of sheep.

Active Constituent: 0.8 g/L Abamectin. 0.4 g/L Selenium (as Sodium Selenate)

Controls & Prevents Adult and immature gastrointestinal roundworms such as:

• Haemonchus contortus – Barber’s pole worm (including inhibited L4 stage)
• Haemonchus placei – Large stomach worm
• Ostertagia circumcincta – Small brown stomach worm (including inhibited L4 stage)
• Trichostrongylus axei – Stomach hair worm
• Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Trichostrongylus vitrinus – Black scour worm
• Cooperia curticei, Cooperia oncophora – Small intestinal worm
• Nematodirus spathiger, Nematodirus filicollis – Thin necked intestinal worm
• Chabertia ovina – Large mouthed bowel worm
• Oesophagostomum columbianum – Nodule worm
• Oesophagostomum venulosum – Large bowel worm
• Trichuris ovis – Whipworm
• Strongyloides papillosus – Intestinal threadworm

Lungworm:

• • Dictyocaulus filaria – Large lungworm

Oestrus ovis – Nasal bot
Psorergates ovis – Itch mite

Dosage and Administration: Abastar Plus Selenium dose rate is 1 mL/4 kg bodyweight.
